THE MEDAL!

Well as you can tell by my title there is a medal in this story. Well this medal was so difficult for me to achieve. Because my entire last season I was in a little rut I could only jump in the 16 ft marks and no higher and I was so pissed. My technique amazing you can ask anyone whose seen me jump. But it was the way I was attacking the board I just wasn't hitting it right.

Until or 5th or 6th meet I was with my friend Izzy he had just jumped an 18'3". And he saw that after I landed my glasses flew off and my jump was a 17'4". So he told me to try a jump without my glasses. And well so I did it was my turn I put my glasses in my shoes and I got set up to take off. I did my little mind physc up and BOOM in an instant I took off like a flash of lightning. I hit that board so damn hard I thought i heard it crack. In that moment I was in the air it felt like I was flying and that is my favorite part of long jump it feels so amazing like you never want to come down. And then boom I was down and they said MARK IT! And I was being so immpatient and then when they said 18'1" I was so excited I wanted to punch something because I was so pumped to be at my goal.

Now its league and it's my first jump I'm getting physced up. I was like lets see another 18 footer. Then BOOM I rocket off and smash through the board and then I came soaring down and then I heard those words everyone loves to hear MARK IT! And I was so anxious to see what I jumped and to my surprise she said 18'4" NEW PR! And that won me a 4th place medal in league I am the 4 best long jumper in our tracks league for JV.

The Battle scar

Okay so in track we have names for all the days of the week except for monday. Tuesdays are table top Tuesdays, Wednesdays are wangster Wednesdays, Thursdays are thuggin' Thursdays, and Fridays are Freakin' Fridays. But I got my battle scar on a Tuesday

It was at a track meet and me and my friend were table topping another one of our friends. And I was the one who was behind my friend that was getting table topping. So when my other friend table topped the other guy he got pulled down and my friends spikes stabbed me in the arm and it felt like it hit my bone it hurt so much but surprisingly it didn't really bleed all that much.XD

And one of my coaches saw me grabbing my arm and he said "He better not be fucking hurt or your all in trouble!" I was hurt but I told him that I was fine so they didn't get in any trouble because I'm just that nice XD haha me nice. But that was my freshman year so the scar has faded so you can't see it all too much but it's still there. Well this is ROach signing off till next time stay crispy y'all :)

The Wait

To me one of the best parts of track is waiting for the meet. When you're at school just going through your day just waiting to get on the bus. Then when you're on the bus just thinking of how much you're going to kick ass. Then when you get off the bus and realize how hot or cold it is outside you think im going to suck so badly. One of the worst things about track are the really cold meets. It's terrible because you do your warm up and you get warm but then you wait for your event to start so your muscles get cold again so you end up sucking so badly.

The next best thing about track is waiting to see what heat you're in for your event. I mainly do long jump so thats the event I get the most pumped up for. So when I'm waiting to see what heat I start bouncing and I get the most awkward looks ever. Everybody looks at me like im phsyco o_O like i just stepped on the american flag and like the biggest navy seal is behind me waiting to destroy me. But it's more I'm waiting to destroy them. XD

My first day at track

I was a freshman and I was so scared. It felt like everybody was so much bigger than I was. I'm not going to lie I was pretty pewney when I was a freshman. Like I weighed 115lbs compared to now I worth 160lbs and it's all muscle from track. But I'm getting off topic like I was saying. When we start track we start out in our wrestling room and I walked in not knowing anybody. I felt as though they were all staring straight through me and into my soul.

We have like 5 coaches but only 1 main coach which is also my school counselor. He starts it off by introducing all of the coaches and the events they coach. Then he does all our returning letterman and seniors. Now remember I'm only a junior :). My fastest 100m dash my freshman year was 13.40 seconds which yes I know too all you fast ass mofos out there yes that's slow.

But that's not my main event my main event is long jump. Yes I do do more running events but I feel at my best when I going all out balls out haulin' ass kind of fast just straight if I fall I'm going to eat shit. But it's for this 65-75 ft to that white boars that I just demolish with my shear power of my thrust of my powerful aggressive thighs.

But that's not my favorite part of long jump it's that moment of flight when you're soaring through the air feeling so free like you won't ever come down. And then you get to here your jump. My best jump freshman year was 17ft 6in. If you have any questions for me just comment I'll be glad to answer them for you. :)

Intro to my first blog :D

Hello writers workshop! This is Roach and in my blogs I shall be blogging about my good and bad experiences in track at my high school.

Well I'm a junior in high school this will be my third year on my schools track team. I've been jv for 2 years but this year is going to be different this time I'm going to run shit.

The events that I run and have run are 100m dash, 200m dash, 400m dash, high jump, long jump, triple jump, and 4x1 relay. In my blog I will be telling you my PR's (personal records).

I'll tell you about the other schools track I've been too and ran and jumped on and how nice or terrible they are.

I'll also tell you about my coaches my favorites and not so favorites because of the attention problems.

If you guys have any questions about track and or my times or if you too run track and would like to compare times feel free to post them in the comments! :D
